Notification channels determine how and where you receive alerts about monitor status changes.

Channel Types

  • Email - Reliable, detailed notifications
  • SMS - Immediate mobile alerts
  • Slack - Team collaboration and awareness
  • Webhooks - Custom integrations
  • Teams - Microsoft-centric organizations
  • Discord - Community and developer teams
  • Telegram - Mobile-first, international teams

Managing Channels

Navigate to Alerts to view and manage all notification channels.

Adding Channels

  1. Click + Add new alert
  2. Select channel type
  3. Configure destination
  4. Save

Testing Channels

After adding a channel, test it to ensure proper delivery.

Enabling/Disabling

Toggle channels on/off without deleting configuration.

Best Practices

Configure redundant notifications for critical services (e.g., both email and SMS).
Use SMS for critical alerts, email for all alerts.
Don’t send all alerts to all channels. Be selective.
